Had my very first surgery on Monday, May 5th to remove sentinel lymph nodes from both arms and have them biopsied. Biopsy results came back today and they’re negative! It means the cancer has not spread and we can go ahead with the bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction on Tuesday, May 13th. I’m so relieved I could cry!

Minha primeira cirurgia foi segunda-feira para retirar gânglios linfáticos dos dois braços e fazer biópsia neles. Resultado da biópsia saiu hoje: negativo! Significa que o câncer não espalhou para nenhum outro lugar do corpo e seguimos com a mastectomia e reconstrução nesta terça-feira, 13 de maio. Que alívio!

    Hey Mila, You will be in my thoughts in prayers for a successful surgery. Thanks for sharing your story- hang in there and prayers for a speedy recovery. Great news that the cancer has not spread and you will be on your way to treatment! If you ever want to talk I went through breast cancer 7 years ago.
