First of all, thank you for all the messages, gifts, prayers, etc. I’ve never felt so loved in my life. It’s amazing to think there are so many people who care about me and my family.

Pathology report shows the areas on the left breast were benign and confirms the cancer on the right breast has been completely removed. The doctors mentioned this report would be able to say for sure the size of the tumor since there were different measurements from the ultrasound and MRI. Largest measurement was 35mm.

O resultado da biópsia indicou que as áreas na mama esquerda identificadas na tomografia anterior são todas benignas e confirmou que o câncer na mama direita foi retirado completamente. Os médicos também queriam confirmar o tamanho do tumor já que as medidas da ultrassom e da tomografia foram diferentes. O tamanho do tumor era de 35mm.

In terms of recovery… it’s a very slow process. I can’t believe it’s only been 3 days. It feels like forever. It’s hard to sleep (at night or during the day) since I can’t get comfortable and I’m never pain-free. Even when pain levels are under control, I still don’t feel like myself. It sucks that I don’t get to be myself around my kids – I’ll even miss Lulu’s first soccer tournament this weekend 😩.

Well, it’s all temporary and every day I get a little bit better.

Em relação a recuperação… é um processo muito lente. Nem acredito que só faz 3 dias da cirurgia. É difícil dormir (a noite ou cochilar durante o dia) por que é difícil encontrar uma posição confortável e a dor nunca passa 100%. Mesmo com a dor controlada, eu não me sinto normal. Eu vou perder o primeiro campeonato de futebol de Luísa que vai ser esse fim de semana.

Mas é tudo temporário né? Cada dia eu fico um pouquinho melhor.
